5.7 ltr wont start.Seems like engine stops early and starter wont engage flywheel.changed starter and still no go.took it off works fine,put it on works for a couple starts then wont engage.tapped the starter (new and old) then they work...HELP.....

make sure you wires and connections are clean and when you attach the starter make sure the housing is clean also, use some contact cleaner, but disconnect the battery 1st. and also clean the ground cable where it connects to your engine block (striker plate) BTW carb cleaner works well also, just make sure your battery is disconnected for your safety!
