How do I change the starter on a 1997 Dodge Neon?
First disconnect the battery. Then remove the cables/wires from the starter itself. There is usually two bolts holding the starter on. Remove these and snake the thing out. if you are lucky it will come straight out. Some Hondas the easiest way is put the car on a lift and take some of the suspension apart. If it looks like it will best come out the bottom, jack the thing up and put it on stands, or run it up on ramps and block the rear wheels.
