Need to fix solenoid or replace starter in 1998 Isuzu V6 Rodeo--is this do-able at home?

We need to change the starter in our 98 V6 4WD Rodeo. Starting to read about it online and suspecting this may be a garage job, not a home one. Has anyone done this at home? is it doable? If garage, any idea how many hours labor this involves? NOT a good time for us to get hit with $$ garage bill but car is DOA in driveway and that's no good either. Thx.
