Is tingling when changing from starter studs to normal studs normal?

had my ear pierced about a month ago and i just changed the starter studs to normal ones.

it feels all tingly and slightly itchy now!

is this normal?

sooo worried cos this hole has closed before. ):

also, is it a good idea to change earstuds again?

cos im thinking of changing to plastic ones but im worried changing two times in a day esp. since its tingly is not a good idea.

thanks in advance! :D|||Usually this means that the holes are still healing. It%26#039;s ok that you changed them, it will just take another two weeks to fully heal. Some crust may still form. It also might be an allergy to nickle which most studs have. If it doesn%26#039;t go away or gets red and painful then I%26#039;d suggest buying nickel-free studs. You can find those anywhere, even Wal-Mart. Don%26#039;t use sterling silver yet because when your ear is not fully healed, it will create a black mark that is permanent around the hole. Hope this helps!|||its fine that it is tingling, its just because you%26#039;ve odvisouly had to fiddle with it a bit more than usual to change it. Dont change it again tho, unless back to the first ones and if you do first clean around the earing in the hole and the earing you are about to put it. Then when you take it out also clean the hole just on its own, but be delicate and don%26#039;t carry on if it hurts. But if you dont change it again the itching should just settle down pretty soon, just try not too touch it in the mean time. Also when you stress about something it makes it seem far worse than it is so just relax :D
