Does anyone have any tips or helpful hints on changing the starter on a 1998 Corolla? Or maybe an online guide? Anything is immensely appreciated!|||Make sure that you disconnect the battery first of all. This is a fire and safety hazard. Also make sure that the motor has completely cooled down before you start. Now remove the 2 wires from the starter motor one normally just pull of (The small one) The thick wire will probaly need a 12 or 13mm spanner to loosen it. Then loosen the 2 BIG bolts that hold the starter motor to the engine, this will be either a 14 or a 17mm spanner.
There you go easy as jump in the dam.|||yes, unplug the battery first. make note to where the wires go, on some they look alike and can get mixed up.
