I have a 91 deville after driving it for a while it won't start until it cools down i changed starter and tune?

dont change the starter. is it throttle body injected of mutiport injected. the multiport engines are prone to a problems with the same exact symptoms where it runs till it gets warm and will not start till it cools down 1) low fuel pressure (fuel pump problem) 2) shorted injector (they are grouped injected meaning that the left side fires together and the right side fires together the resistance should be aproxx 13ohms each if you have an injector the is say 3 ohms then you would be pulling maybe 3/4 more amperage from the computer which will shut down the quad driver killing the engine. 3)ignition module inside of the distributor.

how to diag. get a can of starting fluid or carb cleaner when engine wount start take off airfilter tube spray into intake manifold and try to start if it starts the it is a fuel problem the check fuel pressure multiport (8)injectors should be 30psi or more throttle body should be 12psi or more

if not fuel related take off a plug wire stick a screw driver into wire boot make a 1/4 gap between the engine and screw driver have someone crank over engine if no spark the take distributor cap off and remove the ign module (some modules are not in distributor check book) most part store test modules for free

I dont believe this has a crank sensor I believe it get the engine position info from distributor|||sounds similar to a problem my friend had on her %26#039;89 oldsmobile. They fixed it by changing the crankshaft sensor. Hers started then died, but then would start back up after some cool-down time.
