Disconnect battery ground cable, and remove air inlet duct to throttle body.
Remove top starter bolt, then raise and support vehicle.
Remove lower starter bolt and position starter aside.
Disconnect electrical wiring and remove starter.

There are some differences between the 2.2L OHV and the OHC engines. If you cannot lay hands on a shop manual go to your local library and look for a Chilton or Haynes guide for the car.
